Karen Lai Taguet is a Bharata Natyam dancer, one of the classical dance styles of India. She also was initiated into the world of Odissi dance in 2001 by the reknown dancer and choreographer Aruna Mohanty. Along with her dance training she learns mridangam, the South Indian percussion instrument, under the guidance of Mridangam Maestro S.V. Giridhara from Bangalor
Birgit Stauber worked for the last 15 years as an actress in film/television and a dancer in different companies (Tap, HipHop/Funk, Kathak, Bollywood). In the year 2000 she finished her studies as a director for musical theater, since then she also worked as a director. Since 2009 she is one of the five women forming the Rasa Daiko dance & drums company.
Madlen Werner is a versatile and experienced dancer and looks back upon 14 years of Oriental Dance, 9 years of Bollywood Dance and 12 years of professional Kathak Dance education. She's also interested in contemporary dance styles and the Japanese art of Taiko drumming. She is a performance arts dancer, teacher, and choreographer currently based in Berlin.
Anastasia Hack is a freelance dancer with education in Jazz dance, Ballet, Modern and Hip Hop in Stuttgart and New York, accompanied the bands „La Bouche“ and „Culture Beat“ on their world tours, choreographed for Theaterhaus Stuttgart and for Manhatten Dance Company. Later she foundet the Cie „2 Fierce“ on the base of a self developed dance style „Rhythm´n Soul“.
Beate Gatscha is a Berlin based dancer, choreographer and percussion player. After her studies in Visual Arts she started a dance education in Classical Indian Kathakdance in 1998 with Ioanna Srinivasan, Pt. Vijay Shankar, Harish S. Gangani und Amala Patkar. Further dance training including martial arts, dance with masks, bodyprojection and the practice of percussion instruments like Japanese Taiko and Indian Pakhavaj inspired her to a large number of interdisciplinary solo and coproductions with artists from all over the world. In 2009 she gave birth to the project RASA DAIKO - Dance 6 Drums, an ideal blend of dance and percussion.
